KENYA–UGANDA–RWANDA SPECIAL SAFARI (12 Days)


Here you have all chances open to go through the Great East Africa rift valley from Eastern arm to the Western arm of the rift valley to the a the out standing hills of Rwanda.

Day 1


In Nairobi-Kenya KED Safaris Uganda crew will meet you at Jomo Kenyata international airport and transfer you to your already booked hotel for dinner and overnight in Nairobi.

Day 2


In the morning our drivers/guides will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve having lunch at your requested time. Check in at Mara Sofa lodge and after a short rest proceed for a game drive in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, and other game likes. Have dinner and overnight at your lodge, campsite accommodations can be also arranged for budget travellers.

Day 3


After a sunrise breakfast, engage in an early morning game drive returning later for a lunch break. Proceed there after to the vast plains of the Mara for a further game drive appreciating the various gifts of nature. Head back for dinner and overnight at your lodge or campsite.

Day 4


Drive early morning from the Masai Mara game viewing to Nairobi in time for your flight to Entebbe, for those interested in more adventure, we can adjust this safari connecting Kenya to Uganda by road. On arrival at Entebbe international Airport, our KED Safaris Uganda’s crew will transfer to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and over night.

Day 5


In the morning your life in the Pearl of Africa(Uganda) will start. Our drivers/guides will drive you to Murchison Falls National Park through the historical Luwero triangle enjoying the sceneries and lunch break in Masindi town. Through Kaniyo Pabidi head for the Top of the falls and rest at the falls for some time as you watch the sunset. Check in at Paraa / Nile Safari Lodge/Red chili Rest Camp for dinner and Overnight.

Day 6


Early morning our team will get you to a ferry then cross River Nile to the northern bank for game viewing and you will see elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hartebeests, giraffes and a heaven of antelopes. Proceed after a lunch break for a launch cruise along the Victoria Nile and up stream to the base of the falls. Along this cruise you will view a wide range of crocodiles and hippos along the river banks, a variety of birds like fish eagles, cormorants, herons, king fishers among others can be seen. The sight of the falls is rewarding and breathe taking. Have dinner and over night at Red Chilli Rest Camp/ Paraa/ Nile safari Lodge.

Day 7


Queen Elizabeth Proceed early morning to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing awesome sceneries of Lake Albert and Lunch in Hoima town. The road is bad from Hoima to kyenjojo town so you have to be aware. You will proceed to Kasese town viewing the Rwenzori ranges and may stop over at the Equator for photography. Check in at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge/ Albertine Hostel for dinner and overnight. You really need to rest as soon as possible after this big and tedious journey in order to be fit for the next day’s activities.

Day 8


Have an early morning game drive to the Kasenyi – the mating ground for the kobs, you may view lions in pursuit of their prey, buffaloes among others. Take your Lunch break at Mweya, then proceed to the elegant Kazinga Channel for a launch cruise and may view numerous bird species like pelicans, variety of king fishers, cormorants, animals like hippos, elephants and crocodiles basking along the banks. Head back to Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge/ Albertine Hostel for dinner and over night.

Day 9


Set out for Chimpanzee tracking in kyambura gorge after a sunrise cup of coffee. Other primates like the black and white Colobus monkeys, among many others may be seen. Have lunch break then proceed to Kabale via Ishasha sector and given luck, may view tree climbing lions and other stunning creatures in this scenic rolling savannah. Proceed through the photogenic terraced and cultivated hills of kigezi then check in at Bunyonyi overland camp/Archadia cottages for dinner and overnight.

Day 10


The beautiful Lake Bunyonyi / Rwanda Proceed on a dug out canoe and visit the various Islands on Lake Bunyonyi notably the “Akampene” or “Punishment Island”, enjoy as well, the confines on the lake. Have lunch break then drive further to Ruhengeri for Parc National Des Volcans in Rwanda. Have dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest/Kinigi Guest house.

Day 11


Gorilla Experience Up relatively early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for your Gorilla trek, you then get a briefing from the park authorities and depart for Gorilla tracking in the tropical rain forest in pursuit of these habituated Gorilla families through the undergrowth and parting thick creepers. Ensure that you have lunch packed for you with bottled water as well. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. Once up close to the group, a memorable whole one hour is allowed to be with these gentle giants. Sit in the forest among the Gorillas, listen to them grumble to each other and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male-the Silverback. It’s an extra-ordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of these last remaining mountain Gorillas-sadly enough there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left. Return for leisure to Gorilla Nest Lodge/ Kinigi Guest House for dinner and overnight.

Day 12


At this point KED Safaris Uganda will set you off for departure flights from Kigali International Airport. We will wish you a safe flight back home. And thank you for choosing us to handle your safari.
