Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This park is located Southwestern Uganda on the famous western rift valley edges. It occupies approximately 331sq Km and it is about 540Km from the capital Kampala. It is recognized as home of the world’s largest percentage of the remaining and endangered Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi has a diversity of species, over 120 species of animals including 7 diurnal primates like the black and white Colobus. It has about 360 species of birds, over 200 species of butterflies and about 324 tree species.

Activities


Gorilla tracking dominated all activities in Bwindi Impenetrable National park. To avoid inconveniences, Gorilla permits have to be booked three (3) Months in advance. This activity can be carried out any time of the year. However in March – April and September - November with heaviest rains, tracking is challenging but other Months are relatively dry. You have a chance of having community guided walks, a package that will provide you a view to the magnificent water falls as well as a variety of birds, butterflies, trees and primates among others.

After all day’s tiring activities you will rush back to your accommodation facilities that will provide you with a worm shower and a comfortable rest.
